The objective of the study for which we solicit your participation is to carry out an inventory of the Smart City dynamics in the Walloon Region. This research is conducted on behalf of Mrs Julie Randaxhe of the Smart City Institute ([email protected]).

Your participation in this study is voluntary. You may choose not to participate, and if you decide to participate, you may stop answering questions at any time and close your browser window. In this case, your answers will be recorded as incomplete.

This research involves completing a questionnaire that will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Your responses will be confidential. All results will be anonymized. Your responses will be transmitted from HEC Consulting to the Smart City Institute database. Your participation implies that you agree that the information collected will be used anonymously for research purposes by the Smart City Institute.

You have a series of rights relating to these personal data (access, rectification, deletion, opposition) that you can exercise by contacting with Ms. FannyDehasse, whose contact details are below. You can also send any complaint concerning the processing of your personal data. Personal data will be kept for as long as you authorize the Smart City Institute to do so.

The results of the part of the questionnaire related to the call for projects "Intelligent Territory" will be transmitted in an anonymous way (i.e. the name of the municipality will not be linked to the answers provided about it) to the Walloon Region within the framework of their own analyses. As for the other results, if they are transmitted to other research partners, they will always be transmitted in the framework of academic research and in an anonymized way. The data we share will not be identifiable and will only have a code number, so that no one can know which data is yours.

Once the study is completed, the acquired data will be coded and stored for statistical processing. From that point on, this coded data cannot be removed from the processing base. If you change your mind and withdraw your consent to participate in this study, we will no longer collect additional data about you. Your identifying data will be destroyed. Only anonymized data may be retained and processed statistically.

The practical procedures for managing, processing, storing and destroying your data comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679). All procedures are carried out in accordance with the latest European recommendations on data collection and sharing.
